What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is considered to be the oldest healing science in the world. Originating from India, where it is widely practiced, this healing system is completely free from negative side-effects and offers economical solutions to major current health problems worldwide.

The Ayurvedic way of life is tailored to each person’s unique constitution based on the Doshas or bio-energies—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—considering the individual needs for nutrition, exercise, personal hygiene, social interaction, and other lifestyle factors. The Ayurvedic holistic healing approach is based on detoxification (purification), treatments, and herbal medicines. It is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the world’s oldest comprehensive health care system.
