An absolutely rejuvenating healing experience

Words are not enough to describe how magical Oneworld Ayurveda retreat is. From the moment you send them an email to the day you leave, it is a 5-star experience. I was picked up from the harbor and my boat was delayed by 4 hours – the Oneworld team waited patiently for me. When I arrived I was greeted at the beautiful reception with the gentlest staff. Since I had missed the evening dinner with other retreat goers, the delicious vegetarian meal was brought to my stunning room. The room had a custom-made water bottle with my name, a timetable for the next day, a copper jug and glass, a sarong and a white Kurta with pants.

In addition to other amenities, we received a booklet with information about Ayurveda, the various types of massages and recipes (mastermind behind this Ulla, the general manager)! I woke up to the sounds of the melodious gong and attended yoga. By the time I returned my room was cleaned and I got to see the spacious balcony and the view to the yoga mandala and the rice fields.

I had an Ayurvedic consultation with the most endearing and kind Dr. Ninnu who then recommended massages based on my body type! Every treatment was custom made and at times you don’t have one, not two but three therapists giving you a massage! The food was deliciously cooked by the head chef, Wayan who was more than happy to give me cooking tips and his recipes. The yoga classes in the morning and in the evening were held by Tekok or Nora. We received Ayurveda talks on food, beauty and lifestyle from Dr. Aparna and Nora. Dr. Aparna is a knowledge bank when it comes to Ayurvedic medicine and gives you workshops on how to improve your life with Ayurveda. Ulla also checked in on us regarding our stay. The Doctors stay in touch with you even after the retreat and give you tips if needed.

The Oneworld Ayurveda retreat is a top-class Ayurvedic retreat with the best doctors and staff in a 5-star luxury resort. Highly recommend it and will be back! Thank you Oneworld team!
